Usually, I would open with, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! But you know, in the current situation, it feels like this day couldn’t get more overrated. I know, I know — it’s a controversial opinion — but hey, I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people around here who feel the same way.

With everyone having love around, sometimes it can get lonely just thinking you have no one. And in all of this, there is one thing that stays intact — entertainment. So let’s have a look at what we can watch this weekend with NO CRINGE. Netflix edition.

NOBODY WANTS THIS

This right here is my personal favorite because we love the chaos where an unexpected couple tries to make a relationship work. Nobody Wants This portrays the relationship between a podcaster and a rabbi. I know it sounds funny, but it actually looks elegant. We’ve always heard that opposites attract, but when two extremes come into the picture, the story has a lot of twists.

Joanne has a podcast with her sister all about experimenting with relationships and diving into their details, while Rabbi Roklov is next in line to become Head Rabbi. But things take a turn when they meet each other. Will Mr. Roklov choose his career? Will Joanne try converting despite being an atheist? Or maybe it’s all a mystery?

SALAAM NAMASTE

We’ve always known love at first sight, slow-burn love, and long-distance love — but what happens when a radio jockey, Amber, who is trying to put herself through medical school, meets chef-turned-architect Nikhil Arora, aka Nick?

She’s a dedicated hard worker, and he’s a chill guy who loves food. They might hate everything about each other because of a small misunderstanding. But when they meet again and, three days later, decide to move in together just to get to know each other, it turns into a cupid story. Eh… who knows where destiny takes them?

Inspired by Jenna Evans Welch’s novel, Love & Gelato is an adventurous movie where sixteen-year-old Lina is sent to Tuscany, Italy, as her mother’s dying wish — to live and explore before college.

Love, family secrets, self-discovery, and a summer trip before college — all aboard for a big adventure. It’s funny, natural, and intriguing to see who her love choice will be: a spoiled rich brat or a true local with Italian charm who helps her explore life. This is as good as it gets.

DECOUPLED

The wittiest drama from Bollywood — modern relationships full of boldness, drama, divorce, and navigating feelings before making anything official.

This story follows a misanthropic writer, Arya, and his startup-founder wife, Shruti, as they navigate their relationship before divorce. He has offbeat opinions, and she just wants stability. Along the way, it ruffles some feathers with everyone around him because not everyone understands his “strong but somewhat right opinions.” What happens? Well, there’s only one way to find out.

And hey, that’s about it. Have a good laugh, get inspired to find love, or take an oath to stay single. It’s all your choice. At least you don’t have to deal with finding something to watch.
