“Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the bookish one of all?” A person’s love for books cannot be explained. I enjoy the feel of a new or old book, the smell, and the sense of anticipation till the final chapter.
With a thousand possibilities and new authors appearing every day with a new novel, it can be difficult to choose which one you want and what you want to read right now. Right? So let’s continue with Part 3 of the ‘curl up with a nice book’ series. Here are our top four recommendations for you.
- TWISTED HATE – ANA HUANG
Continuing with the twisted series, the third volume of twisted hate states: He hates her as much as he desires her. Ooh, that’s both terrifying and exciting. If you enjoy romantic novels in which rivals become lovers, this is the book for you. The narrative of Dr. Josh Chen and her obviously stunning ‘Red’ Jules Ambrose.
Jules is one of Josh Chen’s sister Ava’s greatest pals. And from the moment Ava became friends with Jules, he had a hunch she was at risk. Josh was the type of person who brags about her personality, whereas Jules had a personality she didn’t have to explain. The heads simply turned around. When they kept bumping into each other and had to go on a weekend skiing trip with Ava and her boyfriend (Alex Volkov), both of these enemies began to take a turn. Denial, companionship, and occasionally a few moments. Romance is out, and Love is a word they’ve never heard of. Will there be a happy ending, friends with benefits, or a couple with the sassiest comebacks? When secrets from both of their life are revealed, does it become down and dirty? You’ll have to read the novel to find out.

- THE ALCHEMIST – PAULO COELHO
Have you ever longed to read a nonfiction book with a simple but engaging story? If so, this is the book for you. A popular narrative of a little kid named Santiago who embarked on a quest to Egypt in search of Egyptian pyramid treasures. With each chapter, the author introduces you to new and mysterious personalities. Slowly, along the way, he meets someone with whom he falls in love, as well as a mentor who guides him. With some fascinating brewing talks, he discovers who he is, what he wants to do with his life, and, of course, some pearls of wisdom to remember.
In my opinion this has to be one of the most interesting approaches to learning something. So to read it or not read it, is your choice.

- HOW (NOT) TO HAVE AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE – DR. AMIR KHAN
Even if the title speaks for itself, let us delve a little more into the plot. Essentially, this is a tale, but an argument about arranged weddings. Is it more necessary to fall in love before or after an arranged marriage? This is the central theme that drives the plot forward. Yousef, a golden boy, is an ideal child to his strict Pakistani parents. He lives in London and attends medical school. Like any other mama’s son, his objective was to study, make a good living, and marry the women his mother chose for him.It appears that God had other plans for him. While studying, he meets a girl named Jess and obviously becomes friends with her before falling in love and suddenly realising what he is going to do now? This was not the plan! As his graduation date approaches, his mother informs him that she has begun to hunt for a marriage for him.
While this drama proceeds, an intriguing concept of arranged marriage emerges. It’s also amusing to observe how the poor lad is split between her mother and her love.

- THE SHINING – STEPHEN KING
Aah… one of the most well-known novels. Stephen King’s The Shining is a haunted story about the Torrence family, who decide to spend the winter in an isolated hotel. The demonic presence in the hotel causes the father to act violently, while his psychic son witnesses awful events from the past and future. This eerie tale is based on the genuine hauntings of Colorado’s Stanley Hotel. And if you’re sensitive, I’d rather you don’t read it..

There you have it, four fiction and nonfiction books for you to read and add to your library. Let me know which one you liked most in the comments area. And I hope to see you at the next one! Toodeloo!
