MOVIES TO BINGE-WATCH – AMAZON PRIME EDITION

Work! Work! Work! After a while you just want to disappear and just chill. And while we do nothing it’s important that we entertain and calm our minds and that’s when workouts, meditations and binge watching align themselves giving us the perfect weekend vibes. You know what they say with so much going on outside sometimes we don’t feel at home much and to do that and just relax without socialising and just being there for yourselves helps and just for that I’m here with some great movies to binge watch from the Amazon Prime edition.

  1. UPGRADED

‘Fake it till you make it’ suits this movie. Taking a moment to just compliment the gorgeous Ana (Camilla Mendes) who just nailed this performance and showed us that with real talent even faking it works. Ana has a double degree in arts history. She moves her life from Florida to New York by selling off boat paintings to rich retirees. After moving she lived with her sister in a rent controlled apartment and taught her brother in law about art. Soon Ana gets an internship with a posh auction house through which she desires to get enough capital to have her own gallery someday.

After spotting one mistake for her ice queen boss she gets upgraded as a third assistant. Travelling with her boss and mean queen assistants to London for a very important auction she meets a handsome stranger and fakes as if she is the owner of the auction house getting a ticket to the London riches. Truth comes out? Will it recover? Is her career safe? You gotta find out on your own.

  1. FIVE BLIND DATES

A hilarious yet sweet rom com is all we can live for just sitting on the couch. With her artisanal tea shop failing in Sydney Lia must find a way to save it. While the problems aren’t just enough Lia is forced to go to her sister Alice’s wedding in Townsville. While relatives can be a pain in the ass with their sleazy comments and judgemental comments Lia is forced to make her hand read to a fortune teller at the engagement party. And in a very dramatic and serious way the fortune teller declares that Lia will have five blind dates and the fifth person will help her save her ta shop. While we may think her gay best friend, her sister and her parents are thrilled, there may be a scope that Lia’s answer’s could be related to the past too. What will the future be? And who is the mystery guy? Find out for yourselves.

  1. THE NANNY DIARIES

A college student Annie graduates and wonders what to do with her life. Because she does not think or feel about what she wants to do she is under a little pressure. Soon she gets hired as a nanny when she saves a boy from falling in the park. Hired by the upper east side couple Mr and Mrs X and a couple more people who want her to be with their kids, suddenly she got her hands full. Annie finds herself in a situation when a Harvard hottie asks her out while she finds that the reason the last nanny was fired by Mr and Mrs X was because she was dating. Thinking that she can’t be single forever or just not date at all the situation is tough and well there are added responsibilities. Can she do it all? Or is it a happy ending? You wouldn’t know until you watched it.

  1. THE HATING GAME

Ooh!! Enemies to maybe lovers. Yes yes yes. Who doesn’t like their books converted into a movie? I mean not all of them but when it comes to romance yes. A story about Lucy and Josh. Lucy and Josh are forced to work together after their publishing houses merge. While they hate each other’s guts they have a bigger problem coming. Things start to heat up when they are head to head for a big promotion and it looks like neither one of them wants to work under each other they make a bet. The one who doesn’t get the promotion quits. Having their small quarrels and fights it seems like they are attracted to each other is further confirmed when they share a kiss in the elevator.

Having her head back Lucy decides to go out with a coworker Danny. A few days later when Lucy faints because of fever in a company event Josh takes her back home and gets her checked by her brother. Lucy overhears one conversation where Josh mentions he needs a +1 for the wedding and so Lucy makes a deal to be the +1 and call it even. At Josh’s brother’s event they kiss again and Josh asks Lucy to end things with Danny. Later she uncovers why Josh is cold because of the meddled relationships with his family and there’s drama, romance and laughter. Watch it or not your choice?

There you have it folks some movies for the weekend to chill. And to be honest the first and last are something that you will enjoy if you like good rom coms. Let me know which one you liked the most in the comments section and I will see you in the next one. Toodeloo!
