I woke up this morning with full energy of how I will work our teach my classes and just work after that but you know as soon as I was home it was 10:00 AM already and I was tired because of the hot sun beaming outside and parched because well I just like put my entire energy into my classes. All of a sudden the motivation I had that I would do this, I will plan this, I will finally start this, POOF!! All gone.
After breakfast and shower and you know the usual mornings and I sit down at my desk looking at this blank screen and just like not knowing what to do and all of a sudden my thoughts changed to: ‘omg, so much to do, is my life going to be pointless, oh no wait, where am I going with my life and blah, blah, blah.’ literally heading to nowhere and overthinking the shit out of my brain and what not.
The above story was something I saw like a meme in someone’s page and I was like okay, I’ve been there. I Did the same shit over and over and it was not easy to get back on track but you know I realised something else too that while I was in that place finding myself there were a few things which made me think that I will never make it as a person who I currently am. I thought well at that time that if I had actually listened to everyone else’s opinion and not done things my own way, well I think I would be the overthinking failure person I thought I would be. Have you ever wondered what makes you, you? What is the worth of your life? I mean does it matter or not?

Let me narrate you an interesting story: Once a son asks his father that what is the value of my life but instead of replying to him the father gives his son a rock and asks him to go and sell it into the market and if someone wants to take it just raise two fingers and don’t tell anything.

After a while he goes to the market and one lady asks him ” how much does the stone cost? I want to put it in my garden and the boy raises two fingers and the lady replies 2$? I’ll take it. The boy goes home and tells his father that a lady wants to buy it for 2$. Then his father gives him another rock and he tells the boy to go to the rock museum and if anybody wants to buy just raise 2 fingers and don’t tell anything. The boy went to the museum and a man wanted to buy the rock, but the boy didn’t say anything and raised two fingers and the man replied- 200$? I’ll take it. The boy got shocked and told his father that a man wants to buy it for 200$.His father then said, son, the last place I want you to take this rock is to a precious stone store. Show it to the owner and don’t say a word and if he asks the price just put up two fingers.
The son then went to a precious stone store. He showed the rock to the owner. Where did you find this Stone! It is one of the rarest stones in the world! I must have it! How much would you sell it for? The boy put up two fingers and the man said I’ll take it for $200,000!

The boy, not knowing what to say ran home to his father.
Father, there’s a man that wants to buy the stone for $200,000! His father said, “son, do you know the value of your life now?”
You see… it doesn’t matter where you come from, where you’re born, the colour of your skin, or how much money you were born into. It matters where you decide to place yourself, the people you surround yourself with and how you choose to carry yourself.
From the above story you can understand that if you think that you are a 2$ stone then you may be wrong because not every stone is worthless and in the story even in the precious stone store who has lots of diamonds wanted that stone but why? Because if you carry yourself in a way where you think that I’m just a stone can be changed you never know what your worth is but it’s your responsibility to find it. Everyone has a stone inside them, be it diamond or any other thing, maybe diamonds get some pressure and they are worth billions of dollars but if you put your hard work you can make a sculpture out of your stone which could be worth more than a diamond.
