It’s been a rather heavy roller coaster ride since 2024. From the first day of this year there have been earthquakes, wars, boycotting Maldives and only lord knows what he has saved for the rest of the year. And on the positive note there are weddings and babies everywhere, the celebration for the start of the year was great and as usual there were thousands of resolutions made in this world of which more than half have been broken saying: well promises and resolutions are meant to be broken. But the only thing going as we want are the creators of the movies and shows who are giving us entertainment every single minute for us to binge watch because we can’t sleep not knowing what is going to happen next. So let’s see some of the feel good, chilling and romantic buffet of movies and decide what you’re going to binge watch this weekend. Or as I’m gonna call it a Netflix edition.

1. THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE

Hey! Hey! There J.K Rowling fans, the secrets of the Dumbledore is live now on Netflix. As we all know how suspicious and secretive our Dumbledore was before he died, Just a moment to say RIP to our beloved character. This movie is a sequel to the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald released in 2018. Albus and Grindelwald chatter at a restaurant over a cup of tea of how Grindelwald was on the urge to destroy the muggle world. Albus tried to communicate how stupid the plan would be and the reason he supported it was because he was young and in love. With all the warnings Grindelwald said he will destroy it with or without his support and to stop Grindelwald from attaining the power Albus assembles a team of wizards, witches and a muggle bakes to stop the rise of Grindelwald. It’s chilling and thrilling and a must watch for a pleasant day. SKIP IT OR STREAM IT, it’s your choice.

 

2. THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL

This movie is originally a novel written by Soman Chainani in 2013. The school for good and evil is a place where ordinary boys and girls are trained to be fairy tale heroes and villains to balance out the world. It starts with two best friends Sophie and Agatha where both of them are in dire need to get out of the town and so Sophie posts a letter in the tree from where the students of the school of good and evil are picked. Except both of them want to become a princess but the plot twists when Sophie is sent to the school of evil and Agatha goes to the school of good. Little did they know that this adventure will change the entire destiny of the school when Sophie accidentally falls in the traps of a treacherous villain Raphael who manipulates her to bring the entire school to his knees. Will the best friends unite? Will the school not be destroyed that’s the mystery which brings you to the question of SKIP IT OR STREAM IT ONLY ON NETFLIX

3. PERFECT PAIRING

We cannot go by without a love story now can we? Lola Alvarez a successful wine executive in LA who gets a great project lead in an Australian vineyard looking for a new importer. She works day and night to make that deal successful until her colleague steals her idea and makes it as his own creation. In vengeance she quits her job and creates her own company called as Perfect Pairing. She decides to go and win that Australian deal independently and little did she know that she could find love and passion merged together just after being able to convince the  tough lady who owns the vineyard and learn a few things while falling in love with a handsome but tough guy while working at the ranch. A must watch for a cosy day. STREAM IT OR SKIP IT? Your choice but it’s available on Netflix

4. NIGHTBOOKS

A small young boy named Alex gets stuck in a magical apartment which is owned by a witch. Either do something for her or die the next second. Keeping the witch happy was the only job for him, write a spine chilling tale of horror every night or don’t have a reason to live. Alex meets Jasmine who was lured by the witch years ago and was forced to be the witch’s housemaid forever. Alex and Jasmine go through all adventures but the story turns when Alex discovers that they can get out of the trap if they put their heads together. Will they get out and the witch will kill him? Find out by streaming only on netflix.
