The weekend has finally arrived! Planning outings and partying are all choices for a great weekend, and even if it’s a date night or a relaxing weekend, choosing movies or a tv show that you can enjoy still puts you in a bind. Various ott platforms, thousands of possibilities to choose from, it’s like a buffet but with extremely difficult options. While we all know that entertainment is the key to temporarily escaping reality, binge watching can still be a difficult task.
So without further ado here are 4 shows and movies to watch this lousy yet powerful weekend with a tub of popcorn or perhaps food and ice cream. Let’s begin with “STREAM IT OR SKIP IT”.
- GIRL BOSS
This series is based on genuine incidents that occurred in the life of Nasty Gal’s creator Sophia Amorouso. Which also happens to be a best-selling book. A broke anarchist resolves to pursue her love of fashion. Despite the fact that her knowledge of clothing astounds everyone, she believes in bargains and decides to sell vintage items online. Days and months pass, and her business begins to expand. Like “dollar, dollar bills, y’all.” She begins to learn how to conduct business online, and of course there is no fun without a little controversy. Unfortunately, eBay begins to trash her, and our dollar bills are once again out of business, and departing back was not an option for us. She launches her own website because anything can go wrong or right. But she refuses to give up because life gives us shit and we refuse to accept it. Now if she does get successful or not, that’s a job for you to watch. Stream it or skip this fun series only on Netflix.
- CHEMICAL HEARTS
Oh, my nerdy romantics! This is for you. Henry Page, a 17-year-old high school student, is a newspaper editor. Our high school senior, who has never been in a relationship and has no concept of love, becomes attracted to a new classmate. What you should know about Henry is that he aspires to be a successful writer someday, but there is no writing without detail. So who knows what this story will turn out to be between him not knowing love and being attracted to something new. Perhaps a terribly romantic one, or one that will leave you blank.
Which leaves you two options, Stream it or Skip it! Only on Amazon Prime Video
- PERMANENT ROOMMATES
Oh my goodness! A comeback that many of us have been anticipating. The cast and crew of permanent roommates are back with a blockbuster season. With a lot of humour, the previous two seasons of this cupid series have taught us lessons about relationships, love, support, and fury between two people. In this season, our cool Mikesh enjoys the best life imaginable, while our sweetheart Tanya is stuck in her career. Tanya wishes to relocate to another nation, but Mr Perfect is very sceptical about this. Miscommunications, disagreements, and major decisions set them both up for a turbulent journey. But of course it’s Mikesh and Tanya y’all and they are going to… oh looks like my time to tell you the story is over and your decision to Stream it or Skip it is just starting. Those of you who can;t wait, it’s streaming only on Amazon Prime Video.
- DREAM GIRL 2
My heart’s telephone is playing ring rara ring. Ayushman Khurana’s Dream Girl 2 is back. Karam, a small-town boy, is having difficulty repaying his father’s debt and is looking for ways to do it. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Pari keeps his love life afloat. They both like each other and wish to marry, but Paris’s father, like any other father, has a condition for Karam to earn money before he will offer his daughter’s hand to him. While Karam is focused on impressing his father-in-law, an idea strikes him to dress up as puja again, but this time he takes it to the next level by incorporating dance. While all of this is going on, he is struggling to keep his secret, which leads to some wild chaos and a hilarious ride. It’s a must-see if you want to enjoy a fantastic day or night of laughs. But it’s your choice to Stream it or Skip it only on Netflix.
That’s all I have for a nice weekend, folks. Let me know which one you liked most in the comments area. And I’ll see you in the next one! Toodeloo!
